Buyer recruitment roadshow held in Nanjing for the eighth CIIE
A buyer recruitment roadshow for the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held on September 23 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, during the 2025 Nanjing Golden Autumn Economic and Trade Fair. The event attracted 21 exhibitors including IKEA, Tempur, Osim, Sumec, Lesaffre, Secco, New Zealand Crossborder Investment and Trade Association Inc, Standard Chartered Bank, DHL, Yusen Logistics and EGO. A total of 108 local buyers joined the roadshow, establishing ties and laying the foundation for future cooperation.

Wu Zhengping, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said the eighth CIIE will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. Preparations are progressing smoothly and have entered the final stage. The contracted exhibition space for the Corporate Pavilion exceeds 360,000 square meters, with a strengthened focus on national key industrial planning to enhance the professionalism of the exhibition. Efforts are being made to improve matchmaking services and reinforce the expo's role as an international procurement platform, including the establishment of multichannel platforms for supply-and-demand matchmaking before and during the expo. Services are also being enriched and innovated to better meet the needs of exhibitors, buyers, and trade missions. Activities themed on food, quality products and arts will be organized. Additionally, the Country Pavilion will feature a new section of sister cities exhibition to deepen the integration of economy and culture while fostering exchanges among civilizations.
Wu Haiyun, deputy director-general of the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, said that for the seventh consecutive year, the Jiangsu trade mission has ranked among the top nationally in both the number of registered participants and the volume of intended procurement deals. The provincial government attaches great importance to the preparations for the CIIE. Enterprises from Jiangsu that were present at the roadshow were encouraged to seize the opportunities, enhance matchmaking and cooperation, as well as share in the dividends of the expo to achieve greater development.

During the event, the CIIE Bureau signed memorandums of cooperation with VIP buyers Suning.Com Co Ltd, Nanjing Hema Network Technology Co Ltd, Jiangsu Amiya Investment Co Ltd, Trustchem Co Ltd, and Hengjie Dianfei Supply Chain Management (Nanjing) Co Ltd.
The roadshow was hosted by the CIIE Bureau, Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing Municipal People's Government and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
