CIIE buyer recruitment roadshow held in Linyi

  A buyer recruitment roadshow was held in Linyi, Shandong province on June 27 for the upcoming eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE), gathering 21 exhibitors including APAM, Pacific Alpacas, Mootaa, World Geography Limited, Goodfarmer, Delgarden, ANB, Zealong, DHL, Yusen Logistics, and EFC. The event also saw over 230 local buyers, such as Lushang International Trade Co Ltd, Jiajiayue, Jinan Welcome Industrial Group Co Ltd, Luhua Group, Shandong Guokong Zhihui Supply Chain Co Ltd, Shandong Gaoxin Supply Chain Management Co Ltd, Weihai Integrated Free Trade Zone E-commerce Park, and Weibai Group.

  Ge Hong, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said that over the past seven years since its inauguration, the CIIE has delivered remarkable results and won extensive recognition from across the world, contributing to China's new development paradigm and global economic growth. The eighth CIIE will take place from November 5 to 11 in Shanghai and preparations are progressing smoothly. For the Corporate Pavilion, the structure for exhibition areas and special sections will be improved to further highlight the integration between technological innovations and industrial upgrades. More professional buyers will be invited to help exhibitors obtain more deals, and matching events will be held before and during the expo for enterprises, government authorities, and investors to enhance shared benefits. Support will also be provided for local authorities to host side events and people-to-people exchange activities, including activities themed on food, quality products, and arts.

  Juan Xinyang, deputy mayor of Linyi, said in his welcoming remarks that relevant authorities in Linyi will encourage more local companies to join the CIIE to promote high-standard opening-up. Wang Hong, deputy director general of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, reaffirmed that the province will continue to do its best in organizing participation in the CIIE. Yan Hua, general manager of Bank of China Shandong Branch, noted that the bank will provide all-round financial services to help Linyi enterprises go global through their presence at the CIIE.

  During the roadshow, the CIIE Bureau signed memoranda of understanding with VIP buyers Linyi Trade City Holding Group, Shandong Lanhua Group Co Ltd, and Jiuzhou Group.

  At the event, participants were briefed on services provided for professional visitors and given highlights of the Corporate Pavilion. Buyers and exhibitors built initial ties, and China Eastern Airlines introduced travel services for the CIIE.

  The roadshow was co-hosted by the CIIE Bureau, the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, Linyi Municipal People's Government, and NECC (Shanghai), with support from Bank of China Shandong Branch.
