As the largest and longest-standing flagship energy exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region (founded in 1975), this year's expo takes ""Energy Transition: From Oil & Gas Hub to Global Clean Energy Centre"" as its core theme, covering the entire industrial chain of power generation, transmission, distribution, storage and renewable energy, which highly aligns with the strategic target of ""30% clean energy share by 2030"" in UAE's ""National Energy Strategy 2050 Update"". It is expected to attract over 1,700 global exhibitors (covering 160+ countries and regions) and 45,000 professional visitors, including officials from UAE Ministry of Energy, procurement representatives of Gulf giants such as Saudi Electric Company (SEC) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), as well as project developers and EPC enterprises from Africa and South Asia.
Special exhibition zones are tailored to regional needs: the Solar Energy Zone showcases high-efficiency sand-resistant modules adapted to desert climates (echoing the 5GW installation demand of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park); the Hydrogen Technology Zone adds displays of green hydrogen production and storage equipment, matching UAE's strategic plan of ""1.4 million tons of hydrogen production annually by 2031""; the Smart Grid Zone focuses on transmission stability solutions under extreme high temperatures, adapting to the upgrading needs of Middle East power grids. The ""China-UAE Energy Cooperation Summit"" and ""Global Hydrogen Commercialization Forum"" will be held concurrently, interpreting the details of UAE's 500 billion Dirhams (about 993.3 billion RMB) decarbonization investment plan, as well as policy dividends such as land lease reductions for renewable energy projects and duty-free import of equipment. The Chinese delegation is expected to consist of over 210 enterprises (accounting for 12% of exhibitors). Companies like Sungrow and Goldwind will showcase energy storage systems and wind power equipment compliant with IEC certification, accurately meeting the 29GW renewable energy installation gap in the Middle East, and continuing the dominant position of Chinese enterprises with 40% market share in PV modules and energy storage equipment in the region.
